Interesting...heh 220kw to combat the new Sti. Maybe they're not so dumb after all. Sounds nice, if they can make it look a bit more aggressive and flavour the rear end a bit more...it'd be close to perfect for me heh.

er....i dont think the MR is goign to be released in australia.

to be honest...i think the evo x is lazy in the SST
i have driven it last year on wakefield and feels sh*t
the power is lazy, the steering is good though, but gearchanges.....sucks ass....overheat on the THIRD LAP at wakefield !!!

IMO, the new evo x is too heavy, lack in power and DONT BUY AUTO
havent driven the manual version though
and yes/....SST is automatic twin clutch gear changes suppose to be fast, but manual is always better for fun!!!
past ride : FTO gpx with lots of bling bling
Current ride: EVO 8 with the MOST CARBON IN AUSTRALIA....206KW AT ALL WHEELS

they did a full review of the evo X on a Best Motoring episode i watched the other day... i couldnt really understand what they said but the rough results were....

sst in normal mode did a ~14.3 1/4 mile
sst in sport mode did a ~14.0 1/4 mile
sst in s-sport mode did a ~13.7 1/4 mile
5mt transmission did a ~14.0

on a tight test track the i cant remember if hte sst was faster than the 5mt, i think the 5mt was a bit faster. for that test they had ASC turned off and SAWC turned on..because that seemed to be the fastest combination. (they tryed them all aswell)

and at the end on their big circuit they had a race between a evo 9, and evo 10 (sst), an evo 10 (5mt), the last generation subie, and a g35(?) s k y l i n e

fastest lap times for that was:
evo9
subaru
evo10 5mt
evo10 sst (i think he had the transmission overheat)
g35 (he lost by miles)

1540 kilos is just too much i reckon
