SA Cruise - Sunday 17 Feb

Post by Sparhawk »

OK, planning the Feb cruise...

Your cruise director today will be Shaun.

The weekend of 16th / 17th Feb is the date we're throwing up at the moment.

Can I have a show of hands please ??

I knew there was a reason I liked living in the outer suburbs...

Hey guys!

If its Saturday during the day, I'm free so far but have to be at Speedway to be a grid girl for Jack Daniels by 7:45pm.
As for the 17th, I'm only free till 4pm as I have work 4:45 at the Ramsgate.

Let me know times and I'll try see if I can fit it in. My car needs a serious service though so maybe I should wait, lol..

Well I suppose I should put my hand up then...

So no decision on which day then? We have drinks planned for the Friday night, so was thinking of Sunday, but if it suits more people can make it the Saturday.

As for the general plan - will be the old faithful Harndorf - Strathalbyn - Victor cruise, then back up via a direction I have not really decided as yet :D

For lunch, unsure if we go with the bbq option, or whether we just find a pub/cafe or something and buy it there.

Any preference??

Im good for either day, but it looks like Saturday might suit Sunset a bit better, but having said that, she seems a bit non-commital anyway. Ill let you decide Shaun lol.

As for lunch, well, if the weather is good, a BBQ always works. I say we plan for a BBQ, and if the weather turns out to be less than ideal, we go with plan-B and go to our favourite southern pub ;)

Man, you South Aussies have no concept of distance. We used to drive for 2 hours just to get to the START of the cruise (ie Maitland to Sydney).

Cause that might have made us the strange ones..... :?

So Sunset, are you in or are you out?? I promise it will be over before 5. It really isn't that far away! Then we can choose Saturday or Sunday. No pressure, but it's all up to you ;)

As for lunch, not sure if they have many public bbq's down there. Assuming there will be, but also unsure how available they are. But happy to work on that basis and see what happens.

From Maitland.... 8O ... that explains a lot...
Anyway I have no fear of distances, and I'm a Sth Aussie Shaun...
Had a cruise to Mannum last year too... and that was awesome.

Im sure they will have public BBQ's there somewhere, Ill do a little research on the net and see what I can find.

C'mon Sunset, you know you want to come... That reminds me, I need to sms Dana and tell her about it too... *runs off to find phone*

No response from Sunset. I say make it Saturday, then she has the option... At least we will have 4 cars...

Shaun
Travis
Steve / Kesia
and me :D

Oh, and I managed to finish and test my camera mount on the weekend, so if you want to be included in the video I take, you'll HAVE to come along... ;)
