hey guys,
We've finished the kit (pictures of the Air Box coming in the next few days) and its ready to go. for full information on the development check out the projects under the FTO Project link. The intake has been dyno tested and proven to gain 6kW on my car. The Air Box has been temperature tested as well with temperatures being about 20-25 degree's under engine bay temperatures.

so what do you get?

Well there are two options.

New intake & RAM POD:

OEM Style Rubber intake totally re-designed no restrictions

New RAM POD, Unfilter

Mounting Brackets

The normal retail for this is 275.00
GROUP BUY PRICE $220.00

The second option is to add a heat shield and snorkle:
Air Box and Snorkle

Air box - ABS plastic

Snorkle Flex Piping

The Air box is designed to fit both the Stock MIVEC intake and the new restriction free one.

Normal retail price is 195.00

GROUP BUY PRICE $145.00

You can also purchase the two options together for $365.00 (plus shipping if outside of sydney). This mod can also be shipped anywhere in the world.

Please email me to confirm your interest, This project is finished and we are just waiting on those interested in the group buy to register there interest before manufacturing takes place.

would the airbox be able to hold a different pod , ie. would we be able to have a K&N airfilter in the airbox? OR has it been designed to only fit the RAM Pod?

the problem will be the adapater size and whether or not it will fit your pod.

K&N pods by the way have a micron raiting of 30
engine wear starts at 17 microns
the Unifilter pods have a rating of between 3 and 4

er forget my first reply, you mean the one from the airbox? yeah i could probably arrange that but have you seen yrou current intake piping? its hopeless its tiny and it winds around the front of your wheel arch and into a tiny opening near your bonnet latch that sucks HOT air in from your engine bay! this really negates the effect of the airbox if you don't have a secondary feed of cold air or replace the original one.

for those who already have a Filter, is there a package that includes Snorkel, Box and Pipe?

yeah i'll work something out. the only consideration is that you will need to (possibly) create an adaptor between the intake pipe and pod, and probably create a bracket to support it.

Just a few questions:

1) Weren't you originally going to use the Simota pod because it delivers good filtration and performance gains for its price?
2) Do we need an engineer's certificate after carrying out this mod?
3) Assuming ofcourse that the stock airbox will not be able to fit the pod, how does the new airbox compare to the stock one in terms of temperature comparisons (ie have you done that temperature test that you did with the stock airbox)?

What colour hoses

For the main big hose what colour is preffered. We can do blue, red or black. I have all three clours being made but to help us get an idea of colours. The small breather hose can also match. We are excited to know it is finally coming together. We have been waiting since well before Chrissy for the rubber hoses to be made from our template and should be any day now.

Hi,

My personal preference would be for a black intake pipe to keep the semi-standard look going.

I assume any existing pod filter and bracket that adapts to the standard intake pipe will be ok to use with the new intake and airbox? (e.g Blitz, Apexi.......)

Cheers

any adapter that fits the stock intake *should* fit this.

as part of the ordering process you will have to specify a colour if you don't you'll get black me thinks.

early next week i want to have started finalising numbers and colour numbers so please register your interest now.
