How hard would it be to put these babies in and what would it involved? Do the needles have to be re-calibrated etc...?

Fitting wil take approx 1-2 hours taking things very slow, or competent installer half to one hour. The dials will just slip over the needle, so no need to remove same or requirement to re callibrate.. The dials will require to be connected to a power supply ie to ashtray light or wire which supplies power to the lights on clock, dash etc.

hmmmm..... so they haven't built them yet? 10 days till production you say?

Oh man... I can't wait that long... my dash lights have gone out on the right half where the speedometer is. So at night, there is no backlight coming out from the dash on the right hand side and so I have no idea how fast I am going but I can still see my tacho. ARGH! 8O

I hope it arrives soon coz I want to change my dash lights ASAP. Thanks!

haven't actually had to find them....

but repco or somewhere like that should be able to order them in.... do you have the part number (or was that it?)

mine are being replaced with LED's so i may just have some for you brendan if i get time out of my 16 hours of working a day to actually have some fun

Narva have them but don't list them in their catalogue as they only got them in as a spare part not a normal stock item. So if you ask at Repco etc. and they look up the Narva book, they won't find them.

I know that most Autobarns received a Narva sample kit, which includes a selection of odd globes, including the T6.5. The sample kit looks a little like a plastic fishing tackle box, but with globes in it instead of fishing hooks.

Have you done your LEDs or are you about to do them? I can "shed a little light" on that subject too

OK, here's the first bit of light... you won't find T6.5 holders in Australia (unless imported from O/S).

Narva etc. only have T5 and T10. The T5 sits a little loose and over time with road vibration could possibly pop out (I said possibly), they also sit at an angle coz they are a little too small for the T6.5 hole. The T10 are just too big.

As for more information, I've been where you're heading, and perhaps this is where what you mentioned in your PM could come into play  (keeps everyone else in the dark  )
