HID PROBLEM

Post by louiszhu »

G' DAY guys~finally I made up my mind to put a HID on my FTO.But there r some confusions wanna ask u experts.
1.which brand u guys suggest to buy??Personally have no idea with this sort of staff...
2.what kinds of feature should i look at~ 8) like water proof?
3.About installation,I read the DIY thread in the site, but still not sure about where should i put the ballast?
4.Some guys in shop told me that FTO could use more than 8000k hids,is that true?

looking forward your advice~cheers

1) My brand
2) Water proof is something to look at but depending on where you mount the ballast they shouldnt really get wet anyway
3) I'll put up some pics of where i have mounted mine as soon as move house.
4) The temp (8000k etc has nothing to do with what car you have. The temp effects two things colour and brightness.

4000k-6000k is the brightest but a White colour
8000k - 10000k is bright with slight blue tinge
10000k+ appears more bluer and but not as bright

But all the above are way brighter than standard bulbs
