im pretty sure they dont make an HID kit where it will fit into the fog lights.
but you can get white globes that are HID wanna be.
but still wont meet the HID margin.
hope this helps.

Just about to install White LED H3's. Hopefully they'll be pretty close to my 6000k. Probably tonight if you want pics.

Pretty happy with them, thanks for recomending them Richy! Not going to get much closer to the HIDs I recon.

Recommend getting the same design T10 wedge LEDs for the park lights at the same time.

Tingfeng_R - just had a thought... It's difinately is the 'FOGLIGHTS' that you were talking about?

Some pre-facelift come with just T10 Wedge parkers, others come with H3 Foglights AND T10 Wedge parkers.

(And just cos I'm photo happy today)

Good idea to check before hand if you haven't had the lights off the car yet.

This is the same style of T10 parkers that also goes well:

Good luck!

i feel a little bit confuse about it....

did u mean i need to buy "H3 Foglights AND T10 Wedge parkers" together?

This is the same style of T10 parkers that also goes well:
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/2pcs-T10-168-194 ... dZViewItem --------(Park light only? or park light with white color light together?)

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/2pcs-H3-Fog-Lamp ... dZViewItem --------(just LED H3, no park light?)

what stuff should i get???

i am a newbie, sorry about that....

Help!!!~~

No worries mate - confused the hell out of me first time as well. There were two different setups to come out of the factory.

To start with, take one of your indicator pods out. You'll either have 3 bulbs (indicator, parklight, foglight) as in the pic above. OR you'll have 2 bulbs (indicator, parklight).

Parklight is a T10 Wedge bulb.
Foglight is a H3 bulb.

If you've got the 3-bulb type, buy the T10 AND the H3. If you've got the 2-bulb type, just buy the T10 as you don't have a foglight!

Parklight also refered to as 'driving light' or 'side light' depending on who you talk to :)

If it's still a bit unclear, just shout!

Mine came with a foglight switch, and without foglights, so not inclined to trust that! :)

New indicator pods with the foglight opening (originals were cracked anyway), a bit of DIY on the wiring plugs, and viola! Let there be light.

Do it yourself matey... easy as pie! And we're always here to help, offer advice and take the piss.

The T10 and H3 are literally: unscrew indicator pod screw, push out pod from behind, pop out H3 and T10, replace them with the LEDs, reasemble. Take you all of 10mins max.

The HIDs arn't that much harder to be honest. Pretty sure there's a guide in the DIY section.

Feel free to pm me if you run into probs.

im halfway through putting actual hids into my fogs..(12k)

just a bit stuck at 1 point..

the previous owner burnt out the switch and the it apears as though hes cut the clear box off (bit that goes into the switch)

thus leaving me with 6 or is it 8 wires .. what wires do i join
together to get the fogs going ive tryed everything.got them going with high beams though.

My fog light switch has also burnt out, does anyoone know the voltage specs and what not so I can put in a new switch?

The white clip behind the switch looks like it melted on me and wouldnt turn off so I had to pull out the switch, (Broke my alarm warmning light in the process :( There are six wires to come out of the white plug clip and I have no idea what they do! All the other switches I have lookad at only have four connectors so something is a bit odd.

I also Have the electrical wiring Schematic on pdf but I cant read that sh*t, i am a chemist, not a sparky. I am happy to upload it to the site or email to anyone who wants it (I think it is the same one as on www.completefto.com, or at least from the same manual). I have the other manuals as well with the part numbers if anyone wants.

What I am trying to say is, if you work out the wiring on the fog lights, please let me know in plain and simple terms, alternativly if anyone has one of those white clips I will buy it off you, if you need to know what I mean I can take some shots of it and upload.

I know this is an old thread but I'm wondering if the LED fog lights throw out more or less light compared to the standard bulbs? My standard bulbs are pretty much the equivalent of high beam at ground level so I almost never use them due to the odd on-coming driver flashing his lights at me.

This is true, what I'm saying is mine are so bright they are still a distraction to oncoming drivers. So I'm after a light that will still light the road, just not to the same level of brightness. The only pics I've seen of LED's in the driving lights show the blue hue that I'm after but throw very little light onto the road in front.
