Maybe in your mates backward some where in the middle of cambelltown, not from a wallah professional painter. Actually I have no idea how much a respray costs, however for a good one I'd assume more then 1k unless you had connections. Plus plasti dip is removable, so you can have a colour change and protect your paint without devaluing your car if it's in good condition. Win win :D

Mind you 170-200$ of that $600 is for the gun. Actual job is like $400

It's also not really an alternative to painting your car, more of an alternative to getting it wrapped.

Nope, done in a professional shop with booth. That's closed door of course, but I doubt anyone is going to be plastidipping their engine bay or sills.

My bad, $1300.

Why spend $600 on plasti dip that either some dickhead is going to peel off or that will come off itself eventually anyway when you can spend a bit more and spray it properly?

Eh like I said, more of an alternative to vynal wrapping then a paint job. Of course if your paint was complete sh*t, you'd go for the paint job. If you just wanted to change the look of the car but didn't want to commit to a colour (respray) or pay upwards of $1500 for a wrap, it's not a bad option. Honestly a doubt some one would peel your entire car off lol, it would be the same risk as some one keying your paint Job. Each to their own I guess.

Unless you do the prep work yourself... That is... I have had mates offering a booth & spraying service available if I wanted to prep... That takes a huge chunk out of a respray cost...
