Well ben have gone through 74 pages again looking into your hi flowing the turbos and came up with nothing :( Did you ever get it done ? if so what shafts did you use as the td03 tends to break? or are you just using standard tubs untouched? :)

Nup, left 'em stock. Bought brand new ones though.

Re-read some of this thread again, think I need to make a list of all the mods. meanwhile, one of the UK guys is doing something slightly different whereby he's using the 6A13 manifolds and stock turbos bolted to the 6A12. Apparently avoids the firewall contact issue as the 6A12 is dimensionally smaller than the 13, could be a viable option for less custom pipework than going single-turbo?

Also a quick question on logistics of a twin setup, is it slightly less important to have cooler temps at the intake filter to each turbo, given that it's heated by the turbo and then put through the intercooler afterwards? As I remember saying at one point that you just had a pod on the end of each turbo, and I can't imagine a lot of airflow gets around to the back of the engine there?

You could use 6A12 if that works but less overall capacity and engine is not as strong.

As for air temps, f**k it. Mitsi put 'em there... but I would be using the standard location for air filters.

Yeah, having the 2.5 would be nice and being able to run more boost, but by just using the 6A13 manifolds and tubs on the 12, don't have to make a new manifold at the rear apparently, which saves money. And realistically I don't want to be rebuilding boxes like Ben.

Pussy.

Nah but seriously that's not a bad idea. I might look into that for my motor if it ever goes back into an FTO...

Not sure where you got the information that the 6A12 is smaller in overall dimensions. The block comes out of the same casting.

And the stove pipe rear manifold was hardly expensive.

Must be somehow different as he's apparently got like 45mm clearance to the firewall from the turbo... did move the brake distribution block and made custom power steering lines to avoid the heat, but no mods to the firewall/bulkhead.

True. But just think of it as an alternative to the 6A13 or single turbo 6A12. E.g., while a 6A13 would be nice, I'd still have to buy the engine, whereas there's nothing wrong with the one presently in the car so I don't feel a pressing need to be rid of it.

You seen the price of Galants getting rekt at the moment? Aint worth sh*t.

Just get the 6A13. Stronger rods, larger oil pump, factory tapped oil & water lines off the block, no need to decompress, etc etc etc AND it comes with 2 turbos.

Do you know much about the internals of them at all Bennoz?
I'm assuming that they're all cast?

HMM. Still got the dimensions for that stove pipe?
