17x9's on rears???

Post by J »

yo... so ive decided to get new rims woot woot 8) ,, maybe tomorow or tuesday.

ok ive decided on the lenso D1R in matt black with the red groooove. In 17x8 all round 33+offset. probly going to get 215/45/17 tyres on them since i have those currently and i get no rubbing. either those or the koya driftek.

my only question is.does anyone have 17x9s on the rear? because ive got 8s on atm and it looks like i could fill out a good 1cm-2cm till its flush with the rear panel.

THE WHEELS: D1R

KOYA DRIFTEK

there is 5mm between the lower strut arm and wheel. but that should be the same with 17''/8.5 you may need to try a different offset i think mine is 35

NO NO and NO :!: those rims are ave atbest bust if you like them why not

as for 9's onrear good luck with that the largest you will fit easily will be 8's esp if lowered otherwise your asking for handling and rubbing issues

ok the koya drifteks were a bit too expensive and the lenso's are getting way too popular for my liking... I saw them on 6 cars today all in black while driving all over sydney looking for rims... So i ended up getting lenso type m's on 17x7 with spacers. (pics can be seen on harry90's general thread) for a good cheap 800bux all ive got to do now is whack on some good ruuber and ill be fine =) what tyres do you guys recomend? Ive got a tyre budget of 800 - 1000bux.
