Have I told you how much I love you lately?

Thought it was a catchy title.

this is mainly for Gav n Joel (as u saw my bare naked insides)...

umm... u know how you were telling me bout me air box n how i should get a pipe leading to the outside so it can suck cold air into the engine rather than the air in the engine bay...

any ideas how to go about it, where to take it, where i can get the tools to 'attempt' it.. lol

thanks my lovely FTO gang!!

lol... that thread title will definitely get people's attention

there are plenty of options, but this one is my fav -

(courtesy of our very own vice-prez Dstocks)

this version is setup for a Series 1 front bar but i'm sure you'll be able to come up with something.
all the tools & materials are listed... pretty basic.

you wanna try to catch as much cool air as possible and force it towards your filter.
at the moment you've got a sealed box but it's sucking hot air in from the engine bay.
the more cold air you can get in... the better the performance.
i'd join the hose directly to the sealed box to prevent engine temp air getting in.

there's also some other options listed on CompleteFTO -

easy peasy

;)

...or if you're cashed-up and lazy go visit Tenji
(you've met Polo - guy that organised the Anglesea cruise)
at the HorsePower Factory in Dandenong.

http://www.hp-f.com.au/

pretty sure he'd be able to put together something professional
at a reasonable price for a fellow FTO vic member ;)

p.s. Polo, have you got the Veilside rear on now?
i spotted you on cheltenham road 6 p.m. this arvo.
if that was you... mate it looks awesome!
