Dstock's Bonfire
Ok, figured might as well start a thread.
- General Consensus so far : Depart 5am from Sydney
- Where to meet is yet to be decided.
Also this will help us get confirmation with numbers.
Can one of co-ordinators please provide some options

Count me in....usually I'm a night time person but for safety and visibility concerns, 5am Saturday might be the way to go. As long as everyone gets some sleep though.
Should we meet at Car Park PF6 @ Homebush or is there somewhere more appropriate as we are heading south?

OKAY guys, i was thinking about how we can get there.
Here are two proposals. Direct it's about 4 hours by Google's watch (typically google is pretty pessimistic by FTO standards!) Twisties is about 6 hours (again, Google doesn't know FTOs go through corners faster than trucks).
Plan A - scenic twisties:
420km / 6 hours 9 minutes
Go via the M2, LCT, SHT, ED, M5 (all TOLLS)
RNP, Mt Kiera, Mac Pass, Robertsons Pies, then direct to Hume Hwy + Goulbourn
http://maps.google.com.au/maps?f=d&sour ... =UTF8&z=15
Plan B - highway direct:
Direct onto M7 (TOLL), Hume Hwy, Goulbourn
325km / 4 hours 16 minutes
http://maps.google.com.au/maps?f=d&sour ... =UTF8&z=13
Bennoz, if you can let me know which way you were planning on going, I can map that out too.

I will bring my Cousin, I hire him as security for all my functions, events, meets, etc. Never can be too careful these days.bushido wrote:or you could bring your ponytailed security partner khalil
Scenario:
We're driving through down to the bonfire one after the other... Some trucker or granny is holding us up on the twisties. Security Man will hop out and chase the perpetrator and hunt them down, dumping their remains and vehicle in the undisturbed bushland.
Problem Solved
