Every now and then, the pics won't load in the gallery and all that comes up is the red "x". I then have to close the window and reopen the website to get them to load properly again - refreshing doesn't work.

When will the site be updated to be compatible with IE8?

That red x issue seems to have been fixed with the removal of the virus from the site. If not working for you, clear your cookies.
