2.0 litre NON MIVEC V6 tappets ?

hey,

I was wondering what are the the tappets like on the NON MIVEC V6 FTOs?

I have heard that it is usually the mivec v6s which have all the problems such as rattling and requires regular adjusting.

Does the non mivec version aslo have the same problem or is it not as big deal as it is made out to be?

Non mivec 6a12 have self adjusting tappets, you will not have to worry about adjusting them.

Only time when they get noisy is if your oil thins out too much, which usually means an oil change =)

Just to clarify, if the Mivec 6a12 is maintained and serviced the tappets are not an issue.

I just dont want to buy a GPX and have a noisy engine.

use the right oil, and maintiain a good oil/oil filter change pattern and u should be right
