to Supercharge or to turbo

So you want a hairdryer on your FTO? Or do you already have a hairdryer in it? This is the section for it. All other big power projects & forced induction goes here too.

There are engines that are both supercharged and turbocharged! Toyota produced one a few years back,it was supercharged upto a certain rpm point then a clutch on the supercharger kicked in and was turbocharged from that rpm point onward.Sadly from memory it was only a 1 litre engine :cry:

All I knew is that there was a corolla outfitted with the turbo/supercharge engine. It was sometime during the late 80s I think.

I have no idea, that just sparked a memory of me reading something about that =P

well the answer to this thread is easy...

get both supercharger and turbo for the FTO ^_^
i wonder what times it'd pull for the 1/4 mile?? :P

age old question: which forced indcution?
i reckon turbocharge, since the actual kits/parts are cheaper than supercharging, plus the added benifit of more aftermarket parts availability for a turbocharger.

NoS anyone? :o
