brake system problem, very hard to brake

Post by jwa »

I have just change the rocket cover gasket for front and back, so i did took lots of part off as people know is a pain to change and thing in the back.
After the gasket changed, I put everything back and checked 3 times, not left over part and everything plug back.

Now new problem appear, the brake is very hard to push down, I search on the web the reason i think is some air get into the power booster but not sure, cna anyone confirm?

Also if it is the case how do i bleed power booster, can not find on the web.

Do not really want to bleed the whole brake syste, because did not touch anything on the brake, so "i think" may not be necessary to do a full system bleed.

Are you sure you have reconnected the vacum hose to the brake booster and if you have definitly done this have you checked it is neither blocked or kinked?

+1

if you didnt remove any brake parts will be vaccum hose
if you do bleed you have to bleed whole system

thanks everyone, fixed.

what i did just change the vacuum hose, therefore the hose was badbad...

but now i got a really soft brake, it is like i got lots of free play on the pedal,
i still need to press it a bit deep before the car start brake.

Any one know why?

most people neglect this and dont realise its part of a normal service either
