So, my original plans of making a backing board for
my amp, capacator and a few neons have been thrown out the window and replaced with a false floor...while still keeping access to the spare tyre. My idea is to have the original main panel duplicated with some carpeted mdf. But in the middle before the floor space spreads to the outer walls I will cut it, and have the rear on some hinges and the front clipped down. There will also be a ridge at the beginning of the rear panel to stop any items in the boot from sliding into the amp. It will also have some neons attached behind the ridge so you can't see the tube, just the glow, and they will be connected to the boot light (finally, a boot light. Never had one)
I'm hoping I can get started on this next week during
my lunch breaks at work. Will take pics as I go, so keep an eye out.
And if anyone would like, feel free to post some pics of your own boot setup. I'm interested to see how others went about this.
