895USD, but shipping, exchange rate and taxes are the killer.

Got the non-new headlight polished a bit by a professional. Not perfect as didn't do a sand, but worth the $20 to have it come up better. Probably go back later and get it done as good as possible, also was told about clear UV resistant film that I'll probably get put on both.

Wasted $417 discovering that even the drive to work through the suburbs isn't free of random speed cameras. yaaay

I think I win on caliper to spoke clearance. :cheeky:

Still need to sand the lettering down a bit as it's still touching a bit as it goes round.

BTW..... GTO brakes without caliper brackets. :cheeky:

Yup, not a direct bolt on though. Bit of work required to make them fit.

Jesus! 8O

Would wanna hope there is no movement in the wheel/hub when throwing around corners as well with a clearance like that...

Which is why I went like a 5mm spacer...
I just had to add it ......

Picked up a new car for club sport on Tuesday, a 1992 BC legacy 2.2L AWD.
Drove it home from Timaru (2.5 hours) the same day, just to look at it the next day and find it's leaking a lot of oil from the rocker covers.

Replaced them on Tuesday and then it only gets worse, dumping a lot of oil...
Decided on Friday night that we'd pull the motor out this weekend and replace the rear main, and the oil separator seals.

On Saturday we pilled the motor out and then went to someone's property to grab a WRX shifter for it, and I noticed that he had a WRX gearbox and Dif/Subframe for sale, so I gave him an offer and took them home...

So next, we replace the seals and pulled out the gearbox, and left it at that for the day.
This morning I got back to it and then realised that the Legacy has a cable clutch and not a Hydraulic like the WRX, so back on the hunt we go, and finally find someone who has it all, and we also grabbed another pressure plate and release bearing, as they are also different.

So this evening we mounted up the gearbox and got onto the rear Diff, only to also notice that the rear CVs are different but thankfully we got the rear drive shafts from the WRX as well, so hopefully they will transfer onto the Legacy shafts.

This whole deal turned out to be a lot more effort than we had expected.

Hopefully tomorrow after work we'll get the Diff back in, and maybe the motor back in....

It's a pain in the ass, yet great at the same time, the fact that everything bolts up (once you get all the parts..) is awesome.

It'll be a great gravel hill climb and auto cross car once it's done, rear LSD, short gear ratios etc, should be some good fun :)

Still planning to sell it, or are you going to keep it for a while?

Haha I got that bearing sitting in my shed ready to go in, but don't have time. Tell me how hard it is to do.
