Another Suspension Thread needing input ...

Post by rock_it »

Ok ..

So am looking at moving on from the G4's ... They have done me no wrong, but as the Mrs is starting to drive, I want to get something with a bit of a softer ride .. So am looking into the BC Gold range ...

But, I guess my options don't have to stop there .. So will throw the Poll open ...

The spring rate that the BC's will be made in, is the ever popular 4kg front, and 3kg rear ...Then, I guess I should look at moving on from the 205 tyres on the car as well ..
I just had to add it ......

Yeah, but I am thinking the KYB's with lower springs may be a little too low for my new bar ... So I think my best option is going to be coilovers just so I can adjust...
I just had to add it ......

Yeah have tried that ... She is OK with it .. But I know deep down she gets the sh*ts.. Especially when we drive through the National Park .. But maybe that is just the way I drive...

And considering the car was purchased for her to learn in, I have to hand over the keys at some point ... But yeah, she would never be able to drive the Lancer... And considering the car was purchased for her to learn in, I have to hand over the keys at some point ... But yeah, she would never be able to drive the Lancer... But I do have a set of Regamasters to trial fit on the weekend .. So will see how that goes.. May just adjust the suspension to them .. Bigger tyre should help me out with a bit more of a cushion...
I just had to add it ......

Lol .. Yeah, I know .. I am too tight to spring for new tyres ..

But will see how I go with the other Rims .. Will see what happens with the Regamasters.. They are a light as rim .. May take the 2 tyres of my mixed rim at the moment, then get two new tyres for the front ...

And ... Get off my lawn !!!

The only thing is they may not fit... Cause of the offset and that they are really designed for RWD....but will try over the weekend..

Yeah...? How much..?

My set I think are a staggered fit... 17x9 front and I think 17x10 rear... I currently have 17x9.5 rear so not sure if the 10's will fit...
I just had to add it ......

Wow .. That is a fair bit for track rims... ... Mine are free ... :D

So yeah will try to fit them over the weekend and see how I go ... As for the rears already, yeah pretty sure they are 10's ... Pulled em off a Sky.1ine .. So will check them while I am at it ... Then do a rubber conversion for the rear, and grab two new fronts...
I just had to add it ......
