FTO Version R - Melbourne (Damaged) plates GPR1

Post by HeRo »

Hey guys,

i've been an FTO owner for a while, and my luck and days with the FTO has possibly ended.

I have a damaged FTO Version R which i was going to fix, but a mixture of cbf factor and my schedule is very hard to find the time to so i think i'll just buy another car

What happened?

Sandwiched.
Well i was driving home one night after work and coming down from a steep road was a lot of traffic to which then i was rear-ended and which i then hit another car's towball.

What's wrong with it?

Well mechanically,

Transmission/ Gearbox needs replacing which i've had quotes for $400 for the gearbox from taffysturbo and other members,

and Water pump which for some reason was affected

Body work. The front end is cracked which can be fibreglassed back and sprayed but you might want to buy yourself a new front if you see fit. rear end plates have been dented but is fixable

apart from those two factors everything else should be fine, car looks quite nice still.

The list of mods to the car. mostly just basic bolt on's:

Handling

HKS Springs
GAB 8 way Adjustable Suspensions front and rear
Rallliart Rear Strut Bar
Cusco Front adjustable Strut Bar
215/45ZR Goodyear Eagle F1's all round (80% Tread)

Performance

2.5" High flow Exhaust CAT back
Extractors
HKS Cold Air Intake
Racing Brake Fluid
NGK Platinum Spark Plugs

Other

Factory Recaro Blue bucket seats,
Factory Momo Steering Wheel
Detachable Pioneer Head Unit DEH5500 with iPod attachments and AUX
17" AMG Tech Art Wheels
8000k HID's
Mitsubishi Seat Belt Covers (Blue)
Mistubishi Racing Pedals
Stainless Steal Dials/Clusters

The Colour is Limited edition Icelle Blue
Engine has done 140xxx kms

The car is good to go to an FTO enthusiast or anybody who wants a cheap Version R who has the time to add a transmission into it. I'd love to see this thing back on the road!! =)

$6499 or nearest offer

pics will be up soon leave messages or pm if you want to make a private deal

yeh i thought the same thing. originally the radiator and aircondensor was damaged so i replaced those and the mechanic added manual transmission oil to the auto car which wasn't suitable for it and burnt the tranny out when he test drove it and claims to not have done.

so i basically took the car back to leave with a proper fto mechanic and the first mistake is on my behalf for leaving it with the original mechanic, i admit =)

How in the hell could he deny doing it? It worked fine when you took it htere and then when he was test driving it after adding *something* it broke; he is liable, why didn't you persue it?

heya,

yeh i wanted to but it was late at night on high st and the rear guy disappeared. i remember the car but not the plates. vic roads couldn't help me out nor police.

and yeh i left the car at the mechanics and didn't get contact for about a week. by that time i hadn't driven the car for about a month since the damage and he said anything could have happened. i just said it wasn't proper oil because the second person i sent it to said the tranny oil didn't look right.

What year is it?

I'm looking for a RH Driveshaft for a 98 GPvR, if you're splitting it up for parts...
