Newbie from tasmania

Post by ryno »

Hi,

My name is ryan just bought a 1997 fto GP version R from melbourne. Its white with a set of 17" rimz & exhaust. Currently live in tasmania, and my flatmate also owns a fto as well.

Extremely happy with the car and plan on doing a few mods to it over time.

cheers.

G'day from another Taswegian

Post by Brandto »

Hi, good to see another FTOwner here on the old Apple Isle :D . Welcome.

You can see I'm a newbie too but my long background in cars and journalism makes me want to really get things hopping along in Tassie as far as enthusiastic FTOwners go.

Please check out the Tasmanian state section in the Forums list and you will see that until the past week or two, nothing much seems to have happened here FTO-wise since late last year

We gotta get some meet-up drive days happening! Interested?

There's FTOs everywhere around Hobart and Kingston. Dunno what it's like up in Lonny but would you be interested if I was to run a campaign to find Tassie's FTO "Hot Spot", ie, the area with the most FTOwners :?:

Could be good chance to boost club membership, too.
I've asked National Prez Bennoz for his thoughts but waiting on a PM from him. In the meantime, please check out the Tassie Forum and please do regularly check this site. It is an absolute ripper !!!!!!!!!!! :D

Yeah, Yeah, I'll take that as a compliment :D Still lovin' my FTO after all these years. The novelty just keeps getting better.

Haha we all love our FTOs. Well, sometimes...

Nah, I just think it's great how you're being so excited and proactive. Whereas, you look at us awesome QLD members, and we've been trying to get a bloody cruise organised for months now, but none of us ever get around to agreeing to and sticking with a date lol

Cruising

Post by Brandto »

Yeah, I reckon the old club-cruise organising is difficult the world over, though I once had a mate in the Citroen Car Club and all those wanky Francophiles couldn't wait to pounce about with their own kind :P

Anyway, I grew up in Bris and Sunshine Coast, family up there. I can't believe ya local FTOwners hang back on going on a Blackall Range cruise, or maybe from Caboolture/Woodford down to Dayboro. Wicked drives!!

Cheers
