What lug nuts are these?

Post by hugekim »

Hey guys I was trying to change my wheels and I have some experience changing them but I've never encountered these shape nuts before:

http://img509.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=img0149cr.jpg

These were the ones that came on the wheels of Charlie's (xSlurpee) old car, the Rays gram lights 57C. At first I was worried that they were rays security nuts as I didn't have the key, but on further inspection they just seem to be normal ones with a hexagon key needed? It says 12 x 1.8 on one of the nuts - what does that mean?

And if I was to buy new nuts what size ones would I need to get.

I have a feeling that this is a very simple question but I'm totally lost haha so would appreciate some help

yeah they are actualy 12x1.5 which is right size thread.

The issue you may have is are the ends the right type for your wheels? or did you buy the wheels and nuts together?. just need a hex though

they are generic inverted hex nuts

just stroll down to your nearest wheel seller shop and say you need a inverted hex nut-key should cost 5bux max.
