They are a compliance modification. The original car never had them (and they arent required for compliance anymore) Each one will be pretty much different, so best bet is to make your way to an electronics shop (like tricky dickies) or you can remove it completely by joining the original 2 wires back together.

    Yea im missing mine as well. Just go to the wreckers and look around till you find something suitable, thats what im going to do.

    Nah, as dstocks said above, they are no longer required. Just pull it out & bridge the wires off it.

    You guys are a wealth of knowledge.

    I'm not too confident in doing any wiring work yet, even simple bridging, so I'll just look for a nice looking dial that fits ;)

    Its really easy. Just follow the wires back from your existing dimmer switch and youll find that they both join to a green wire with a white stripe (At least that is what the one in the car I checked on the weekend did). Unsolder the join and join the green white wires together (they were the same wire originally and were cut). And thats all there is to it.

        Is that why my RVR doesn't have one :roll:

        ended up grabbing one from a Nimbus.
        FTO came with the dimmer light, but only adjusts the dash lights, no others. :roll:

          im gonna bypass mine as well, probably has resistance in it as well so i might get brighter dials.
