Driver and environment aside a stock Monaro V8 will rip a FTO.
0-60km/h? questionable
Even if its not much the Monaro is at least .5 a second quicker to 60km/h. It's all over in three seconds for a LS V8.

The FTO and whatever LS is not even in the same league, I don't understand why people always reckon their cars a V8/Turbo beaters.
couldnt agree more.
but i did beat the monaro fair and square on that day from 0-60km/h....and thats a real life experience, not comparing specs from papers which makes absolutely no sense.
As I said driver and environment aside the monaro is quicker. I can beat my friend LS1 as well but he could have been on the phone or something. I way I see it, don't drag about beating a much quicker car as in reality your car would never win.

I could say I beat a R35 GTR but really I did not.

yeh but imo the fto is quicker accelaration at low speeds

is this actually a correct observation?
or am i a downy
Downy.

FTO's peak torque is almost at redline.

LS2s peak torque is at about 3.5k
Bennoz I have a feeling you know what I am talking when it comes to what is a quicker car. Everything I have said in this post, you agree with me??? :)

Pretty much! :)

I chuckle at how anytime someone thinks they've won a flat out race with a more powerful car, they come on here & start spouting power figures!

"Yeah man, the Monaro does it in 6.5 seconds, the FTO does it in 7.5... I got the jump on him so blah blah blah"

Thats all good & well, but those FTO figures were from some 15 years ago... find me an FTO that's still putting out it factory numbers.... then find me a Monaro driver that can actually drive... then find me someone that actually gives a sh*t!

THIS....
CHRISTIANITY: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

Screw drivers we are talking about the car. The power difference between the two is massive. The LS is a beast of a motor, compared to any engine, not just the FTO.

Just hang on thats why I have to say, even when I hate Holdens!!
