FTO and Car Newbie.

Post by aznfto »

Hi there.
I was gonna write a whole story of my life but decided to just do point forms :)
-on green provisionals
-no prior interest or knowledge of cars at all
-recently purchased 1995 black manaul FTO GPX (first aus owner) from dealer.
-no idea how to drive a manual at first, learnt and im not too bad
-daily driver and plan to keep it long term with minimal mods.
-located in syd - burwood/canterbury area.
-found this site and decided to follow a few DIY and whatnot.

Problems i have:
-site seems inactive, DIY and threads dont have pics to follow due to site upgrade? :(
-messed up 5th gear, waiting to be fixed
-stuck with standard stock headunit due to insufficient funds for a new headunit
-stereo surround cracked and almost destroyed.
-no clock in the car, never know whats the time :(
-few others but cant think of atm

Things i've done:
-de-badged back and sides and replaced front with silver badge.
-metal razo pedals
-installed fire extinguisher
-cleaned up peeling headlights
-put HIDs in existing HID sockets.
-cleaned foggy foglights ?
-FTo logo brakelight
-installed an alarm
-razor gearknob

Things to do:
-new headunit
-CAI
-Fto badge for the back?
-window Tinting
-seat covers
-paint red callipers
-paint wipers
-maybe new suspension/coilovers and brakepads.

well its quite a list and i feel its mainly rice mods and fear some criticism of some sort but im well prepared.
jus feels theres not really anyone else i can talk to about this car, also cause this site seems inactive. :S
but still plenty of useful information and whatnot. well thanks for reading, happy to answer any questions and i hope to participate in any upcoming events or gatherings :)

Hey mate welcome
CHRISTIANITY: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

WTTC .. There is a group buy for a short shifter ... That would be a nice mod to add...

And good to see another Sydney member... Maybe we can get you out on a cruise... Or look through the events for our Bowling night...
I just had to add it ......

Welcome to the club. Site got changed over to a new version of the software. We are still sorting out minor bits and pieces, so thats why it looks a little unused atm.
