SchumieFans SX4

Post by SchumieFan »

Thanks to my new friend pete at suzitech (cheers bennoz)

i got a lot achieved today.

Got my lower rear strut bract and lower front strut brace fitted,
also got a Ultra Racing rear sway bar fitted...

HUGE HUGE difference, its like driving a go-kart now, its incredible!

also got a custom intake made up, which is fitted, but im gonna tear it down and paint it all up to match my car colour and also sand back and paint the top mount strut brace to match the car colour.
Intake makes a very throaty sound from about 1800-2200revs and again at about 4000.... its magic

also fitted my WRC wing today, almost completes the 'tarmac rally' im going for, and definatly turns heads.
also bought some spray cans with the OEM colour that i got made up, $35 each! what a steal!

heres some pics...(excuse the dirty car)
i wont post the intake pic untill my engine bay is 100% cause its not where i want it to be just yet... but VERY happy!

the wing is mounted to the back door and the whole thing rotates up when you open the door.
the side bits have 3M soft pads on them and just touch the windows, they arent stuck to them.

Pete said he wants one lol

Wing really "jumps" out at you, doesn't look too bad. As long as your happy with it thats all that matters :thumleft:

I will have to have a look at it in person as I don't think the pics do it.

the wing is purely for stopping the nana look and give it a bit more aggresion... and no the pics dont do it justice, it works very well with the car, its a copy of the real WRC spoiler but without vanes and the twin deck, but it acctuklly does some glueing... i was amazed how well it pinned the rear to the ground

I LOVE IT!

yeah ben, pete told me you often grab your pie and hang out in the garage... the only things planned next are a piggy back and Under drive pulley that are being copied from Road Race motorsports in the US via my mate Andy who bought them... but i have a new mobile so ive lost everyones numbers so PM me
also plan to do a bit better job of mounting the wing, its a bit fragile only being held on by 2 bolts 8O

but the engine bay is my main focus...
gotta love AUTO 1 doing make while-u-wait paint colours... mine has 9 colours! crazy!

cheers for your feedback fellas and womanas

First time i saw this thread, and have already seen the car in real life, and i gotta say, i dont mind the wing, its like, an fto with a veilside wing, which does not look too bad in conjunction with the right bodykit, but Mike, the wing looks good to me, it has the right amount of aggression and it looks like it does pin the ass to the ground well :thumright:
97 GPX Icelle Blue

I cant stop driving her!
...and when im not, im looking at her!
... ...and when im not, im freakin thinking about her!

you saw it with and without, reflecting on the before pics... it looks so virginal!

lol!

Now running about 40 more hp than what it started with... which is about a 30% increase... its doing well... the turbo kit is always tempting me though... 380 torques with 230hp atfw...

scarey considering bens situation!

top strut blending FTW
