So is this going to be you plug dwayne or are you going to use this as a rear bar?
Ive read this a few times and im still not sure what it means. If your question is whether im going to use this as my rear bar, the answer is technically no. With any luck Ill get enough people for a mould (probably 10) and ill grab one of those because itll be stronger.
As far as i know, having a rear diffuser on the car will be bad for the FTO, diffusers streamline the air under the car and effectively 'suck' the car down to the road to improve handling. On a FWD car without a front diffuser this would suck the back end down and lift the front = very light steering - especially at high speeds = proper death.
I dont think I can incorporate it with the agreed design without having a different version of the bar anyway. I take your point though. I personally havent researched that side of things. With the natural shape of the bar, it will be pretty close to having the diffuser effect anyway. All youd have to do is enclose the space where the exhaust was and the rear naturally lifts from there. I guess you would need to combine this with an appropriate mod at the front to get the setup right. Was talking to Aza about this the other day though. Talking about making something to fit under the Factory T's front bar to streamline under the front of the car.

OK cool, so you ARE going to use it as a plug. A plug is the item you use to make your mold from. It will no longer be required after the mold is made, however I am sure you will keep it.

Ahhhh, then yes, thats what I plan to do. Having said that, if I dont get 10 people (9 actually as ill be grabbing one of the copies), then ill beef it up and put it on my car (although I think that ill get 10 on this one...).

And will this bar look good with a stock side/front?

Should match pretty well with stock sides. A little lower but still should match quite well. Whats to go:

Move licence plate hole between the taillights

Lower the bottom of the bar 1 inch

        build inbetween the exhausts

          awesome :)
I am looking forward to seeing the final product :)

What will happen with the FTO imprint when you move the license plate up?

i noticed today that the aurion sportivo has the same style going. You could even buy a 2nd one and chop it up, saves you having to fabricate from scratch...

lol, thats exactly the design I was going off. Have quite a few sportivo piccies on the laptop atm. Was using the bottom of that as my inspiration. Funny that you came up with the same thing. Hadnt noticed the top. Thatll be good to go off as well.

Im sort of in the middle of things, so dont have a picture I want to put up just yet. To make matters worse, I can, I have managed to insert my hand into the thermo fan behind the radiator and have sort of mangled it a little, so havent been able to do too much. Am hoping to be able to get some stuff done over the weekend.
