Hey guys, im new to the world of FWD. i currently bought a manual '97 FTO GX (i heard it was easier to turbo a GX) and i want to increase its power and what better way then to turbo :) is it possible to turbo a GX with a budget of 2000 (less i have to pay the better) im currently in perth. I dont want to keep hunting for parts, so is there some kind of workshop here that will do it for me straight up or do i have to supply the parts? (if i do where do i get them from?) i just want an idea on price, time of road or anything else that will help me on this mission :) thanks in advance >.<

damn :( guess turbo was never meant to be. wow it even sounds complicated. well is there any way to increase its power (mainly acceleration) maybe enough to beat a Golf TSi :P

Snatch the MAF sensor from my hand my young padewan. With training, you will not suck so much with teh FTO knowledge.

Wrong link ben lol.

Try this one
viewtopic.php?f=22&t=14120

@ agreenfto, mate yes it is easily doable but not for 2k, I think if you used all second hand parts you could do it 5K, oh that is if you do ALL the work yourself.

sh*t, if there were enough people wanting to do it. I would pull mine apart a fab up a kit but I need atleast 3 people and they would have to pay a deposit before I would even consider it.

if we want a buldge
Think you better check no.2 here
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=buldge

But in answer to your question. Not neccessarly, im only running 5pound. 8psi could have been done at the same price and that would definitly give you a bulge (note spelling for future reference) bahahahaha
