cheap diy for black and red fto?

Post by aznfto »

hey well i was wondering about some changes to my fto.
with not much of a budget, being unemployed and all, i thought of mods i could do with just paint and diy.
i've got a standard stock black fto gpx and am thinking of doing a full black but with red bits and a red interior.
things i was thinking of doing is:
-paint calipers red
-tinting rear taillights
-darkest legal tint
-painting stock rims black :S
-attempt to bake and repaint headlight housing red.
-attempt to trim my seats with whatever material is suitable/ i can find
-changing rego plate colour
-new bonnet, front bumper, further down the track.
thats bout all i can think of, given i dont have my car atm, but i was just wondering what your thoughts about the listed is, before i even attempt anything :)

Don't paint the stock rims black, it's been done and IMO looks cheap.

Don't paint the headlight housing red, it'll look :supergay:

Black calipers on a black car look good too...

And for another cheap mod you can replace all the interior white lights with red ones (dash lights) like the air con and dial controls. They look good i reckon. :)

There is a DIY about painting the stock rims black, they actually look nice.

Both my front wheels are black because of all the dirt, lol but they actually look a lot better than the rears which are the default grey. I'm thinking of painting all 4
