Hey everyone,
For the last few months my car has been veering off to the left. Up until recently it has become worse. As you have probably guessed, I thought it was a wheel alignment issue. I had a wheel alignment done but the problem still exists.
I have no idea what the problem is. I have a slight suspicion that this all started when I had new tyres put on the car but can't be 100% sure. Has anyone else had this sort of problem before? Can anyone recommend a good place to get it checked out? I am thinking about taking it to Pedders as they are experienced in suspension and steering work.
Cheers

Have you hit any gutters, or anything on the road? This is what sometimes causes the wheel alignment to go out. If you have hit something you may have also bent a control arm, which may need replacing. Does your steering wheel always point to the left, or is it perfectly in centre?
Also check the air pressure in your tyres, it could be that one side is a lot lower pressure than the other and this is causing it to pull to the left.
If your car only pulls to the left during braking, it may be an issue with your brakes (eg pads, or rotor).
My car was always pulling to the left and the outside of the front tyres were wearing quite quickly. I took down to my local tyre shop and got a wheel alignment done, and its all fixed.

You might just need your steering wheel re-aligned. That isn't any big issue, but I'd suggest you taking your car to a suspension specialist. It's usually a suspension/alignment issue when your car is doing something like that.
If you've had an alignment though, it should of picked anything out of the ordinary up.
Did you let them know about the problem or did you just ask for an alignment?

I let them know about the problem. They hooked it up to the machine and they said there is no way in the world that this car should veer to the left. When he drive it he couldn't explain why it did it.
I think you might be right about getting the steering wheel re-aligned. I did a test today, where I held the wheel completely straight and the car was going towards the right side.
I will take it to a suspension place on the weekend. Thanx G1, but I think I'll just take it locally first. A few people have recommened All Springs on Heathcote Rd to me. Anyone had good or bad experiences with them?
