You're right Mike, I don't know what's going too happen when we come to change that, perhaps it drains out completely when it's not running?

Steff, it hides the smell of the bodies of people I put in there when they ask why there is an air freshener in there

Think it will be 150mm, just wanna check.
It's a bit bigger than that...

Nah, sorry mate, I should have been more specific, I need the width of the entire filter, not just the mouth.

Those filter element replacements come flat, like so:

I measured the mushroom and you're right, it's 150mm across. Should I use the link above?

BTW, mechanic is coming to do the filter, belt and oil leak tomorrow then it'll be back to the dyno on Thursday and pick it up on Friday, if Herman hasn't blown it up!

100% yes.

I bought the 200mm replacement back in june for mine.

seems big when you get it but once you press it up into the mesh it fits like a glove.

I've never been a fan of those dual entry on the one side units, better flow from entry one side, exit the other.
Yes they have better flow end to end. However, there are two important aspects your not considering. Firstly, unless you have a engine that has had its intake plenium reversed eg. Jeffsfto. then you are going to have more pipe work which in most situations will have more bends. Secondly the same side units have better cooling as instead of the air travelling in a pipe to the other side of the car, it is travelling in the actual intercooler. I read a article a few years ago about it. I'll try and track it down

Fuel filter has been changed today. I don't know how you open the old one to take a look but my mechanic left me a sample of fuel...

Also changed the other belt as the old one was looking a bit worn like Lawso's.

It's going back to the Dyno tomorrow to be tuned on Friday. I won't be there to see it run but I'll post the figures if it doesn't run too lean.

The mechanic said that some of the dirty fuel may have got to the injectors and that could be why it ran lean too. Lets see what happens next...

That belt is missing a rib  supposed to be a 6 rib.

And yeah, that fuels a bit how ya going  Best way to open the filter up is just to hack saw it in half.
Bring it to Dwaynes & I'll do it for ya, add it to the fuel filter wall of shame :D

Envy do have an injector cleaner machine down there. Does require the intake manifold to come off thou, if they've got the time.
If they do, don't forget to get them to do the 7th injector ;)

OK, I'll try to bring the old fuel filter with me to Dwaynes.

I drop HKS FTO off at Envy tonight and told him what got done yesterday. He's going to dyno it and if it's still running lean he'll do the injectors.

Figures coming soon... I hope...
