personally
I would go for this:
http://www.meguiarsdirect.com/detail/MEG+G17914

the wipes will do a good job, but to really get the best from the leather, go the conditioner!

I know a distributor also, so if you want a contact, let me know.
He can send it to you.

So what's next to do Ben? Herman said clean the injectors and change the spark plugs. In another thread you recommend platinum's, would that be the same for me? A guy at work says that he bought some recently from the US and got them for 1/2 of what he could get them here for. Do you know the part number at all?

I've noticed that it's creaking going up the ramp in my car park so the bushes will all need doing like in my old one and I'd like to change the rotors and pads. Should I got with Shanes set up or is that not great for the road?

What else should I get done while all this is happening so it saves my going back to Herman's every week?

Yeah platinums would be the go. Dont we also have to deal with the leaking cam seals as well? That's a timing belt off job..

For brakes, I'd probably just go with some DBA slotted rotors with some Ferrodo DS2500 pads. That'll haul you up.

Pity you dont have a 4 cylinders.
I have a set of Plats which I didn't like with the motor, so they sit in my draw with only 5000k done. Unsure if same thread, length etc... should be...

If you want to save a bit of cash, go RDA rotor, I have them on the RVR, and they're great.
They did glaze a bit with the race pads I have after the Kangaroo Valley run, but then again I had well over 2 tonne.....

What are the part numbers for the spark plugs or type that I need?

Also, the bushes are making a right noise when I come down the ramp in my car park *crunch* When I did the suspension on my old one I got front drop links, Front Control Arm - Inner Front Bushing, Front Control Arm Lower - Rear Bushing, Front Sway Bar Mount to chassis bushing and I think that's it.

viewtopic.php?f=10&t=5944&start=220

Would you recommend the same again as that was in Sep 2009, maybe things have changed a year on? Should I get it check first before ordering all the bits?

just read through the thread .. congrats on the buy mate :) looks ssick

I reckon set the intercooler with pride of place in the middle & oil coolers to either side .. if the intercooler is doing it's job, I reckon spend your dollars on other bits like exhaust & HF CAT

are you keeping everything blue?

Fantastic AJ! Not my exact cup of tea but can really appreciate it. Would definitely be fun.

Let's hill run again next cruise, AJ fto 2.0 and delvance sky.line 2.0 lol

Will be interesting to see what it pulls with the nigglies done and full proper exhaust plus full standalone ECU.

What sussy is it running ?

I've got DBA 4000 slotted f/r and project mu pads with high temp fluid and this has been working quite well for me. Have heard good stuff about the ds2500's that the others have recommended...but it's not japanese at the end of the day :P

Cheers. As far as I know the intercooler is doing just fine. yeah, I think for power mods I'll be doing exhaust inc CAT, ECU and that's probably all.

I don't mind the blue in the interior and I'm getting used to it on the outside. The main stripe is painted on so what I'm going to do is add a thin white one up the middle to split it into viper stripes and remove the thin blue ones as they are stickers.

Cheers man. Not sure really (see pics in earlier posts) defo not coilovers or anything. I'm sure it could be better and will get it done with the brakes soon.

I'd defo be up for a run with you once that's all done.

From what I saw under the car they looked like old JIC magic coilovers or shocks

I've had the car at Envy Dyno since Saturday to finish the tune off.

This was the dyno sheet from last time...
Image

As you know / can see it was running very lean towards the top end. We have now discovered that this was due to the spark plugs. Only the front bank had been changed and the rear bank had the originals. So, 6 new platinum spark plugs have gone in, it's had a full service and another 2 hours on the dyno.

It now runs 7lbs of boost and at the press of a button 10lbs of boost (before it was 5lbs and 9lbs). It now makes more power on 7lbs than it did on 9lbs before!!

Also, my HKS filter arrived today, but not until I got back from picking my car up. $3 + $10 postage from Malaysia (via ebay)

Image

That's a job for this weekend.

As for the new dyno graph, I'll keep you in suspense for a day or too...

Sweet man, loving it.
