Just my 2 cents but if you are looking for performance HKS superflow or K&N.

If your not worried about performance only looks, then go for it.

I'm a bit intrigued about the dual pipe design. It'd be interesting to test this back to back on a dyno. Also like their feature with the front bar extension for the pod. This could be setup as a bit of a force feed.

Mosti, what did you have before this and did you notice any significant improvement when you put it on? Any chance you had it dyno'd before and after?

Guess this needs to be boxed up as well; even with the ram kit, it's still sucking hot air from the surface of filter intake section.

Yup all filters need to be boxed if they are near the fan

Well yeah it definitely needs to be boxed up because the pod gets quite hot so the air from the RAM might pass through the pod and instantly turn into hot air lol.

Nope, I've never had my car on the dyno lol. Ummm, as for performance wise you can definitely feel some sought of improvement over stock and I'm sure that improvement will be greater if I get it properly boxed off.

@I8A4RE,
I read a review somewhere a couple of months ago and most of the "high end" pods were shithouse compared to the cheaper less advertised brands.

Lol, mate don't believe everything you read. That review was most probably from someone with a vested interest in the cheap brands. The old adage comes to mind "You get what you pay for".

Bennoz where is the link to the dyno filter testing review on the fto??

Yeah I guess so. Sometimes the cheaper stuff is better though hehe :)

Hey don't get me wrong, I am a tight prick and if I can get something for cheaper then I will usually get it. There are just some things I wont substitute quality for and air filter is one. Yet on the end of the scale I wouldn't buy top brand muffler like hks and the like. I think some of the cheap brands are up there on performance.

Oh god i just made a long post and forgot to press post and then closed the browser by accident -_-

Anyways, on a honda forum a guy got a 14.8HP increase from a short ram weapon R

His fuel consumption increased though (probs why mine sucks balls but i only drive round the street...only on the highway like once a week).

This is for a different make of car but yeah...

And I am not knocking them. However, IMO (that's why I put "my 2 cents" in original post lol) I would go for something tried and tested. Thats just me.

Now I am not calling the guy on the honda forum a liar but I have trouble believing he got that without a dyno graph to prove it. Once again that is just my opinion and I could quite easily be wrong but without hard facts, it will not be changing very easily.

More to the point, any gain from a short induction kit will be at 8,000rpm. Not exactly where you spend all day at.
