S14 stock wheels

Post by BUZZ_QWERTY »

Help me please. I bought some stock S14 wheels to replace the *~delightful!~* 17" chromies on my car... But they wont fit cause of the spacers... Is there a way of getting the spacers off or do the s14 wheels have to be machined

Is the wheel going to be sticking out way past the fenders?

Is it a bolt on spacer or floating spacer? If its just one of those 2, they might just be seized into the wheel. Might want to look at a photo...

its a hub ring

just pry it off

They are designed to sit in centre bore of wheel and to fit over hub to ensure perfect fit of aftermarket wheels to help prevent vibration ;)

Oh that! I had a similar problem when I bought a bolt on spacer that was meant for a nissan and the fto's centre bore was 1mm too big for the spacer!.

Make sure the s14 wheels have a 67mm centre bore, no less, because that's what my spacer has and it fits perfect. I think that would be the only thing in your way.

Lol... I ended up selling the S14 wheels because I'm lazy and couldn't be bothered trying to get the spacers off... anyway bad idea... I hit a pothole last week, split my tyre and had to leave my car in sunnybank for the night... space saver wouldn't fit... lol

I tried BBS's off a R32 GTR..

1) too wide to fit the guard.
2) the offset was way off and the dish of the wheel was touching the rear of the suspension..
I just had to add it ......
