Hey All

Post by slideways »

Hey, my name is Jayden and i'm new to FTO Australia.
I'm currently 16 years old and on my L's, and live in Melbourne.
I drive my parents current 1999 Mitsubishi Lancer VRX (Auto), but am yet to drive my brothers R34 GT-T (Manual), although i have driven a few Manuals.
I am currently a member on nissansilvia.com and www.vicimportsclub.com.
Growing up i have always been interested in cars, and thus for my first car, i am seriously considering to buy a Manual FTO, which is why i decided to finally join FTO Australia.
Just thought i would introduce myself. If I end up purchasing a Mitsubishi FTO, i would love to meet you all on a club cruise one day.

Thank you all for the welcomes and thanks for the compliment sublime
I personally hate when people abbreviate words to the point where you cannot understand what they are saying.
I have a soft spot for my Japanese Imports :)
My brother used to own a 180sx, and that has been a childhood car i grew up with.
One of my goals is to get a nice clean FTO until i get off my P's and whilst I'm on it, build a track only 180sx Drift Pig.
Ever since i was about 8 or 9, i have loved the shape of the FTO's and GTO's, but now i truly appreciate them, and the awesome sound of the Mivec GPX.

Oh and welcome.

Thanks all.
I haven't really set out a budget as yet, but i think around 7.5k would be around my budget when it comes to the time to buy a car or a FTO :D .
The earliest i would buy it is by mid year, but that seems a little too soon. Also, it's a bit difficult to find Manual GPX's or GPvR's

Keep looking, it's not too hard to find a manual GPX in that price range.. But you most likely will be looking at a pre-facelift model (94-97)
I picked mine up for 6k, '94 model GPX :D
Finding a GPvR is harder...

Edit: P.S. WTTC

Yeah i have seen a few around, but i guess i have to look at the cars very closely when i go to look at them.
I already read a guide on this website about what to look out for when purchasing an FTO.
I might be going overseas again this year, even though i just came back from one, but i'd rather put that money towards an FTO.
