Greetings from Western Sydney Newbie

Post by Akys »

Hi all,
Finally get to log in to FTO australia. Thanks for the help Ben.

Just got a 94 Black FTO GPX tiptronic 2 weeks back. 210000k's on ride.( i know it is high but it was one of the finest I've seen and its kinda stock expect pod filter and coilover)

Currently mod:
-pod filter(no air box  )
-k-sports coil over

mod/fix up since i got it:
-Sony Xplod door, rear and sub(from my previous car)
-Blue LED boot light ( looks good i think for my side glass paneled sub)
-repair washer jet connection and resealed crack on washer bottle
-after market steering wheel
-cleaned TB (idle speed issue)

Future mod:
-high flow cat+cat back from Performance Exhaust(quoted $1000 by Haks for 100cell metalic cat, custom 2.5'' exhaust, twin tip)
-Fit in my existing MONZA seat(cant afford recaros:( now looking for rails)
-K&N panel filter with CAI

Problems that need to be fix:
-Sunroof not working and need to retrim
-rpm meter don't work( checked with multi meter and have current reading, guessing its the sensors problem)
-ABS cable snaped due to negligent worksmanship on coliover
-Rattling from door and some area.

Things I screwed up:
-Cracked my panel beside my gear knod while trying to remove it to fit in head unit :(
-stone chip on windscreen

Pretty much thats all. looking forward from learning from everyone here.
Btw, spotted a red FTO 2 days back when i was going to Richmond from Penrith.

cheers,
Alvin

HI Alvin,

I think I looked at that car when I was looking for an FTO myself last month. Was it the one from the lower blue mountains with the new roof ?

Can I ask how much you paid for it?
