Re: Noob q about MIVEC controller
2 main points for the are..
1) they take out 180 k/hr speed limit
2) u adjust the mivec point. So you could make it kick in earlier.
There is much debate about adjusting the mivec point. U could probably find a few threads searching, but yeah Aza and I both have the same unit. He has got some good results with his car in general, so I have mirrored his set up.. Which I think was mivec cutting in 500rpm sooner..
A friend of mine use to play with his controller all the time.. But had no idea what he was doing. As a result, his car put out 89kw @ the wheels.. While a pretty much stock tip should any around the 100 mark..

Re: Noob q about MIVEC controller
Some say they work and others say they don't
I have my one set to 5900rpm 400rpm above the factory mivec point as it smoothed out the air fuel mix. Factory setting (5500rpm) makes it run rich at change over, in turn you loss power but it sounds good
For what you are looking at you would be better off getting a haltech piggy back ecu and tune it to your specs.
This will give you a better power result.
This will also cut the speed limiter at the same time
I hope that helps.
