Depends.. I'm in construction so depends what site i'm on. If I'm on a big site such as The supreme courts or griffith hospital for a 38 hour week on second year wages take home 1k... but if i'm on any other site take home $800. +/-

I have been working in the video gaming industry for the last 7 years. Was a Game Designer when I joined, am a Product Manager now. :)

I did my Bachelor of Arts (English Literature hons) and Bachelor in Computer Applications before joining the industry.
Completed Masters in Marketing (Product Management) couple of years back.
Working on finishing PRINCE 2 certification and preparing my thesis to enter a PhD program currently.
Video gaming industry in Australia is almost non-existent :(

One thing I realized, more than the educational degrees and the theories you learn, your best and most valuable learning experience comes from real life scenarios at your work.

I work part-time as an IT Systems Administrator while studying a Bachelor of Business Information Systems at RMIT in Melbourne. Wanting to get into an analyst or similar role after graduating.

It won't take long before you realise how much you hate Helpdesk :P I use to like helping people out with computer problems all the time now most of the time it annoys me haha.

I used to work for Teletech @ Pennant Hills, Telstra BigPond Dialup tech support department. 8 hours wearing a headset, taking calls, fixing connection/email problems, calls and breaks were timed, calls recorded and QA'ed. I was on the 3:30pm to 12:00am shift, a lot of drunk people calling that couldn't get connected to their favourite porn sites  Wasn't a bad gig, good luck silver :D
