Insane LSD

Post by ZFL45H1 »

hey guys i currently just bought a second fto for parts and needed to change the gearbox in it did all that and put it back together and everything is working fine.
but one problem i have shown this LSD to professionals and apparently it is a mechanical locking LSD and my whole steering jolts and make a huge banging noise but only when i turn corners slow in gear not under power tunring or turning out of gear so im assuming its a racing one
anyway does anyone know where i can locate a normal LSD thats no so serious or anyone willing to swap i would rather buy though as i want to turn my second fto into a racing machine

thanks to anyone who can help

It's probably got the wrong oil in it.

Change to Motul FF-LSD Type 2.

Then why not keep it for that?

As Shane mentions above too, limo diffs are super sensitive to the oils they are used with. I went through about 4 different brands & types before settling on one that worked & stopped much of the clunking & fking around that it used to do.

Is the Motul FF-LSD Type 2 recommended oil in a FTO gearbox with Cusco 1.5 way LSD + possibly aftermarket gearset?

I was using the Nulon G70 with Syntrax, but I've since changed to the Valvoline LS90 & I don't need it. Best oil I've found so far.
