fto upgraded brakes

hi
i wanted to upgraded the brakes that are on my fto. Is there any where you can buy big brake and rotor combos? and would and evo rotor and caliper fit? or some other mitsubishi like a gto or somthing? :?

Yep, go ring Unique Auto Sports in Seven Hills & speak to John.

He'll sort you the HSV combo if you've got $1600 spare....

sweet...so is that for bigger rotors? and aftermarked calipers front and rear? would they bolt on or would i have to make custom brackets?

Its a complete kit. 330mm rotors, PBR calipers, pads & the brackets required to fit them.

What ya running under the hood?

The GPX brake calipers are the same as Evo I to III.. So just update to slotted rotors.. Unless you need the extra stopping for the track.. But Aza does fine with his..

Yep a good set of pads and slotted rotors is all you need.

well im not sure with power yet...makes 170 kw at 12 psi atm with out mivec or cams dialed in with a basic tune with new turbo going for around 300 kw with out nos... so was thinking of up grading the brakes :)

yeah it is now :twisted: has full built engine...just waiting till i run it in till i put the big turbo on :) tuner told me a 3076r will do the job nice :) Just want to up grade the brakes abit lol

I have seen Evo III put out 200+ on all four wheels with stock brakes.. I think u should be fine..

Me engine was putting out 238kw at the front wheels and has now been worked and put back into the Evo platform.. All stock brakes.. Well slotted rotors that is..

Lol.. Go check out my cardomain page for my custom install in the Sonata with the Evo engine..

Sonata was heavier then the FTO.. The stereo was full of MDF, TV's, DVD and a truck battery in the boot too..
I just had to add it ......

Havent decided if I do a similar instal to the Evo/GSR..

so if i bought a set of evo 3 upgraded rotors (330mm) and calipers with adapters will they bolt on???

Calipers possibly, rotors no. Evo 1 - 3 are 4 stud pattern (4 x 114.3mm)

Yeah early Evo is 4x114.3... Calipers for Evo are the same as FTO GPX..

Also remember just because the calipers are the same doesn't mean the rotor offset is.
But it could be ;) (?)
