SchumieFan's loan car
its a 1.8...
its an auto...
it makes a lot of noise and doesnt go far...
ITS...
A.............
NISSAN TIIDA ST PLUS SPECIAL EDITION!
its a special edition because it has ABS, Air con AND a 'wing'
(yup... special!)
My 'new' dealer is a Nissan/Suzuki dealer and they dont have Suzuki loan cars... it was either this or a purple Tiida with 'Tiida' advertising all over it!
SO!
on the plus side:
ive only driven it for about 20 minutes, but the seats are more comfy than the SX4,
there seems more inside space than the SX4,
i think thats cause it a) seems a bit longer and b) the seat adjustments are on the inside of the seat not the outside, so the seats are place further outboard from the centre console
it has cruise as standard,
the boot/trunk seems about the same size
cons:
its soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo slow
its soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo fugly
all the things it deems as extras are standard on every other car.
Dashboard layout is allover the place.. i dont know what the vents on the top of the dash are for (???)
all in all it will be an interesting few weeks/months... glad to have some wheels, but i miss my ZUK!

Ladas are awesome!
Best one I know of had a lot of work done to it by Lotus, was a made little rocket by the end of it.
Should have asked for the Lada option Schumie!

Schumie.......do you reckon they'll say anything if you returned the car with a couple of used dingers in there?
You never get a second chance to make a first impression.

Re: SchumieFan's loan car
well im waiting for aza to set up a motorkhana, but so far, the fuel economy is SHOCKING worse than an FTO!
and it has a good ding in the rear, and every scrape was marked so probably no go on the tiida dodgem...
oh and from now on i refuse to use a capitol letter when referring to the tiida

The trick is, to simply make the small scrapes and dents that are on there bigger.
There in lies the fun!

Re: SchumieFan's loan car
ive worked out that the back shocks on pete(the tiida) are poked, every time it goes over a judder bar it drops onto the bump stops.
its a comfy car, a bit boring, easy to relax and fall asleep in.
good for a long cruise id say, even if every mechanical part (from the locks, door hinges etc) are very loud and clunky

Re: SchumieFan's loan car
yeah i have an apprentice at work, he's named peter... and he's so f**king slow... so it was quite natural to name the tiida Peter,
on the other side my SX4 is also named PITA
