new engine suggestions

Post by Connor_1994 »

so ive decided i want to put a new engine in my fto gpx,
the mivec is good, but a few problems here and there,
i want something with more torque, higher top speed and most likely an allwheel drive set up. any suggestions on what engine i should start with?
keep in mind it just cant be turbo as im still on my P's ): which does limit my engine choices slightly

Don't the P plater laws mean you can't modify your engine (i.e. change it)?

To do an engine swap and AWD setup is going to cost you an absolute mint. Well into the tens of thousands.

If you are on your Ps keep the mivec. It is a highly tuned NA engine and will keep up with most things out there ATM. If you REALLY want to spend lots of money, wait till your blacks and then dump a 6a13tt or 4g63 in there with your awd conversion...

True that.

And Connor_1994, Even if one can get up to 300, there aint much opportunities to get there anyways, even in the track. And with P-plate restrictions mentioned, it looks like its going to be mainly used on the roads at least. What you should focus on is your torque.

Also looks like you are adhering to the P-plate rules, well, the big ones anyway(engine swap), so the best you can do within those confines is bolt on mods, like this:
