SELLING my GPVR

Post by Taz »

Hey guys, just spotted a very very nice evo on carsales, and to get it i must part with my beloved FTO.
For those of you that know it - it is Mr. Leonardo Aroujo's car he sold last year to me.
My asking price is around 9-9.5 but will be negotiable.

Off the top of my head features that it has over a standard GPvR are:

HKS super drager Full stainless exhaust system
Piggyback ECU
2.5k of stereo including front and back splits, tweeters, JBL 6 channel 1000w amp, and a 12" slimline kicker sub in the boot
Numerous show upgrades, like stereo panel, kick plates, foot rest etc
Custom gauges
Momo shifter
Probably more but off the top of my head cant think of any that would close a sale, you really have to see and drive the car.

For those of you that dont know, the GPVR comes standard with these features over a GPX:

- Limited Slip Differential (LSD) (for better traction and powerdown)
- Larger 20mm swaybars front and rear (for less body roll)
- Strut Braces front and rear (for improved chassis rigidity)
- Minor weight reduction ( supposedly roughly 20kg less in manual form over a GPX)
- Recaro bucket seats (Blue, black or red, usually depending on the colour of the car)
- HID headlights (I'm still yet to see a vR which didn't have these fitted as stock)
- Larger rear spoiler
- Manual aircon, as opposed to the climate control system in GPX, GR etc
- Uprated suspension ( different length droplinks and possibly other upgrades)

Body / paint is in good condition, i will be getting a guy to touch up the minor scratch on the rear bumper and just below the spoiler (both were done by the previous owner so i dont know what caused them)
Just replaced the grill at the front bumper
Interior is in IMMACULATE condition.

Will have its 131,000 service in a months time, as well as a wheel alignment.
Always taken to joe and ricks.

You really have to see and drive the car to get a feel for it, it really is different on some levels to the standard FTO.
If anyone is keen, or knows anyone - drop me a line on 0406017753, or reply on forum - please no timewasters or joyriders - this car will only be on the market for a short period (until this evo i am looking at sells) and if i cannot sell mine, i will be keeping it!

Haha, id be happy to pay royalties to you purely on the basis the you would have to pass what 10c onto mitsubishi...would like to see them get a random check to head office for 10c by some random made out to "royalties"
Gold.
Anyway, will post some nice pics up very soon i just gotta go out and get a camera or borrow one, and i would like to get the few little imperfections out like the small scrape on the under bumper and front splash guards replaced etc.
Luckily the evo i want i somehow still up for sale, but if that changes soon, i will be a bit more hesitant to sell my baby, as there is not much else out there at all i would trade it for.
Stay tuned

Due to me now spotting a WRX with exactly what i want on it, im going to sell my FTO to cover the costs of the WRX.
My asking price is 8k, which is possibly negotiable depending on the deal, so feel free to ask, you never know.
Nothing new with the FTO since the thread was posted - about to take it into rick n joes for its service as i have to wait to the 29th when they re-open, however i can always get it into another shop as i know a few places that do good work if the car is sold by the 29th (optimistic much?)
All inspections welcome and feel free to contact me on 0406017753 with any questions.
Car wil be sold without the plates, but will come with all roadworthy certificates etc, and if you are after a QLD registered car then i CAN take care of all that, however i will ask extra for the cost of it on top of the 8k.

Yea, i got this car for a bargain for 10k 6 months ago, and im just about ready to drop it to 7.5 cause i really want this WRX.

I would happily post pics of the evo if i could be f**ked figuring out how to easily get them up - otherwise id have some of my FTO up here too.

Would like 8 for it as my WRX is costing me 8, but i will seriously consider 7.5 as i just want this sale to go through instead of screwing around so buzz me if your keen

Where else are you going to find a 98 (not a 97) GPvR with relatively low k's, with this much mods.

One of the things i forgot to mention that has been done that a recent thread reminded me - is that it has custom FTO dials with the stainless rings that people seem to be chasing these days.

Also forgot to mention - when i find a buyer for the car i will provide a full service and wheel alignment.

Also, the tyres and brakes are near new and were all changed not too long ago, with Bendix pads and decent Z rating BFGoodrich tyres.
Front Rotors were also replaced with brand new ones.

As you would expect the timing belt, water pump etc were all replaced at 100k.

Mechanically this car is in really good condition, and the RWC and Service logs will back this up.

Still looking for 8, or possibly a little lower if i can find a no hassle cash sale quickly.
Im sure theres something else that has slipped my mind :?

As much as it pains me, i have 2 days off and 2 days to get some cash together to secure my next car, so i guess that means i'm open to offers...
Obviously only serious offers will be accepted, but in saying that i am reasonably flexible with my price, depending on the buyer and hassle of the sale - at the end of the day if i have to finance a few grand on my next car to make my life a lot easier and not miss out then so be it.
The first offer i like will be accepted, regardless how many are made so pipe up if you want a GPR, because im hoping this isnt going to last long :x

$2,500 is not a bad loss... Sure it hurts, but others will loose more...

Mine for example ... Purchased for over 12k ... Threw in coilovers, carbon bonnet, carbon boot, stereo, aftermarket front/rear bar, sideskirts ... And probably a lot more that I have forgotten along the way ...

I know I will be pushing sh*t up hill to even get 12k for the entire car now, and have only had it a couple of years... :?
I just had to add it ......

I talk a lot of sh*t, usually have to keep a roll of toilet paper handy in the car for my mouth
