Rear hub and rotor

Post by spetz »

Hi guys,

Can someone tell me, what is the part that has the actual studs in it at the rear?
And, how much does a new one cost?

The reason I ask is I have the 260mm rotor in 4 stud but I want to change it to the FTO 5 stud and I am thinking if I will buy new bearings + new rotor maybe I should look for a brand new hub too if it's not too expensive

Thanks

Do they come with the studs or is it just a bearing kit?

Isn't it a bit expensive for just 1 bearing, made in China??

You can only buy it as a complete unit.

Made in China yes, but its the company that supply Mitsubishi. Units have the Mitsi MRxxxxxx part number embossed in them.

So this is more or less OEM?
And, does it not seem a bit expensive? To be honest I am not completely aware of their prices but the fronts are only $77 and the rears are nearly double.

Btw, how do I tell if my bearings are gone? When I drive it makes a weird noise, but the wheel seems stable. The noise is most apparent at around 60km/h and it is a noise that I have heard not only in my car, but in FTO's, however not any other cars
