Actually, have purchased some anthracite spray wrap. Going to try that instead as the vinyl wrap on the wheels just isnt going to work (too many curves and the vinyl is starting to lift). Failing that, will by some similar gun-metal rims a bit further down the track.

How many colour varieties does it come in? Let us know how easy it is to remove.

Hmm. I may consider this. Was keen on gold rims while I was looking for them.

Yeah, could have. Got told id be defacing the SSR rims if I did that. This way, its reversible. Have replacement SSR stickers to put on as well.

These arent steelies, they are one of the good light weight ones ex Japan , so not sure what that means re powder coating. I know the powder coasting process requires things to be heated up a lot and not sure what it would do to rims like this. May make them brittle. Dont know.

Never said it's the end of the world.

Just said it isn't a good idea to powder coat alloy wheels as they've already been heat treated/powder coated from the factory. And putting them through another heat cycle can weaken them.

You can definitely powdercoat wheels without weakening them, they can lessen the heat produced to ensure they dont weaken them. People powdercoat them all the time! I even powdercoated my motorbike frame and it was fine.

Option one garage even offers powdercoating of rims to your specs.

Powdercoating is going to be the strongest and best looking paint.
