Oil temperature is a guide to when you can give it a flog. Do not flog your car until the oil temp is at running temp.

Do you now see the importance? 1 is a guide to when you can drive hard, the other is a critical warning gauge. Its got absolutely nothing to do with whether or not you have a hairdryer hanging off the motor.
well at idle oil pressure sits around 16-19, what is the standard running temp for oil?
i see i see, thanks for that bennoz!

Objectives for the near future (when the wallet gains some weight)
Get ignition failure sensor of dstocks so I can get my speedo working again
A good service including cleaning of o2 sensor throttle body
Replace stepper motor
Pod filter!
Fix my window rattle haha
Try fix the rear panel rattle ? After reading seems like I should just use some foam
2.25/2.5 exhaust system
extractors when my wallet is really overweight
Put in front speakers/eventually replace headunit

Any other basic mods that anyone suggest I do??

It's already low enough for my standards. Want to raise it a cm so I stop hitting sh*t ( it's like 10.5cm under engine lol). And as for offset I'm not missing much maybe some spacers but mightget my friends work meisters)

^ THIS!!! man those gauges look cool :) And now thanks to Bennoz we know what they are for :)
Could you ask your mom's partner on how much it cost him? (Parts+Labour), And if it is a major work?
Would love to have them in my 'soon-to-be-fto' :)

The drift series guages will JUST fit into our cluster on the dash, but are a slightly different size.
I know Jaime had a bit of a screw around trying to fit them in (pressure and temp i think it was) but was eventually done - just very messy with a lot of wires n sh*t everywhere.
So yea it can be done, just not with any relative ease and you would need someone to know their sh*t n willing to work for a few cases (*cough Ben*)

If the rears are tinted then it might be rather costly to remove old tint. Maybe just match your other tint on the new window?
