Headlight weight reduction

Post by d_dan »

So.... On the track I just don't need big heavy headlights.
But I really don't like the look of missing headlights on a car So here is my compromise.

I don't actually know the weight of the headlights as they stand if someone could let me know.

First I wrapped the Headlight so to make my mould.

Next step to cover the headlight in a base coat for a backing mould. layer of carbon and another base coat

A Second layer of carbon applied.

Final layers of resin

Final product

110 gram's per headlight cap
