Bosch 044 fuel pump

Post by Bennoz »

Selling this bad boy pump folks, its just too noisy for my likings.

Would suit a track vehicle or any other high HP vehicle. If any of you have mates with Soap Box racers, let them know ;)

Its a Bosch 044, 200L/h @ 5 bar (72psi) pump, only been used for a few weeks total. I paid a bit over $200 for it, will let it go for $150.

Note that does not include the bracket (they are available seperately & on eBay) or the fittings. Happy to ship.

Just a little fyi..
The 044 is an external pump, however, with the right fitting to connect a filter sock, CAN be mounted in tank.
I did this myself 10years ago with my 600hp VG30DET S13 Silvia.
Just used an appropriate hose clamp to strap it to the factory in tank bracket.
So don't let the external mount marketing put you off.

Very true ^^ Can be mounted internally. Just not in an FTO tank, doesn't fit by a long shot, did try though

Will this increase the performance of a stock car (hypothetical)?

I'm keeping my car NA, but it will be tuned right after the stick conversion next week. I've stuck to your plan and upgraded my Y-Pipe, better CAI, hi flow exhaust, extractors etc... will the fuel pump increase power after tune?

Agreed. It's not really about giving more power, it's about if you've got lots more power, then you need this to keep the fuel up to it.

Ah ok, didn't think so but thanks for clarifying.

I'm pretty noob with cars. Just the other week I heard a rattle in my exhaust under my cat, so i thought the honeycomb was breaking off. turns out i'm correct and so i smashed it all out (so i'm now* running a straight pipe...only issue is the gaskets are worn out and i didn't have time to put on the exhaust back together properly...it is now...LOUD AS F***

It'll improve power if your existing pump is on the fritz
