E-mange wired in, running without it?

Post by spetz »

Hi guys,

Does anyone know if I have an emanage wired into the ECU, but I unplug the e-manage, will the car run or is the signal from the ECU disconnected?

Thanks

Wont run. An emanage is directly connected to your injectors.

Correct, you can't just unplug the emanage, you need to also then reconnect back up all your injector & ignition wires. That's why I used a Field One connector :D

Thanks, that looks neat, must be so much easier wiring to that and then plugging it in instead of on your back in the passenger footwell trying to tap into the ecu harness.

Will an e-manage ultimate just plug in if I already have the normal one wired up?

EDIT: Just read that it will plug into the original harness but to make the most out of it an additional 14 pin harness has to be bought/wired in

Serious understatement that  This makes it so much easier. And easy to disconnect if ever needed.
