If u're going to do serious track work you will need a better rear wing also.

And if you're serious the R888 is probably not the best tyre. It's more an endurance tyre lol. You want something sticky that's more suited to a qualifying tyre, maybe a Dunlop DZ03G in the softest compound, or a lot of the Time Attack runners in oz run the Yokohama 050, but expect these to go off pretty quick.

We are you looking to run it? Links to the series?

The problem over here is that it rains 362 days of the year. Also there is limitations on the tyres. In club class they are only allowed road tyres.
Ill be in pro class which means i can use a track tyre but there are still limitations. If i want to use any race tyre i will need to go up to ultimate class and tjen im against space frames etc.

I plan to use this season to just break myself and the car i.

How does the car put down the turbo power?
And what cars do you compete against? How does yours compare?

The tyres I mentioned are all semi slicks, so would normally all be in the same type of class as the R888.

The class i will be doing is the pro class which allows trackday tyres and allows body modification ie. Carbon fiber pannels.
And i will be in the 2wd sub division.

2012 will be the first year they will split the 2wd and 4wd's

The cars ill be competing against are the likes of honda integra's, civics, CRX's, toyota starlets, galanza's and probably some other things.

In regards to getting the power down its a mix between power and traction. I need to get as much powe as i can to pull out of the corners into the straights as my car is a lot heavier than the 800 kg hondas. Ill have it out later in the month to setup the handeling and will know where i stand then.

Hopefully the bigger breaks and power will help counter the weight of the car.
As fas as i know i will be doing 4-5 sessions on mondello park national circut and 1-2 sessions on mondello's international circut.

You can take a look at the current season on the time attack app on the android market

I assume your weight penalty will be hard to make up for.
How do you see your car compare to the rest you are competing against? Any visible pros and cons between all these cars in comparison to yours?

To be 100% honest this season i will be winging it. Im in the pro class rather than the novice class so im up against the seasoned vet's and a lot of cars built by tuners.

My main advantage looking at theis years competition is that where i may not come in the top 3 i see that some of the fastest cars get 1-2 really good rounds and then miss 1-2 rounds getti.g rebuilds etc as they blow turbo's, gearbox's and engines. So if i finish up in the upper middle table at the end my consistency will stand to me.

If i fine tune my breaking ill have an advantage as i am head and shoulders above the others in that department.

Weight is my downfall but once the cade goes in the grinder will be comming out.
And if i think that itll make that much difference ill make some carbon fiber door's.

I removed my version R wing.
I prefer bear ass over all spoilers but I could be convinced to put one back on for a Carbon Fiber version R spoiler.

The way I look at it.
Richard batty has done Most powerfull VR4 converted FTO and EVO powered FTO
I would like to chase Most powerfull 6A12 FTO powered FTO

Well if Time Attack in Ireland has corners you're gonna need a rear wing

100% agree. I have done a day on the track with no wing and I have to say the ass end dances all over the place. A good wing helps big time.
