TRIPTONIC OR MANUAL ?? im new

Post by Murdockie1992 »

hey guys! I'm obviously new to FTO's love them to bits ahaha and very nice cars

now. I've always had autos but manuals are the easiest things to drive :)

was wondering whats trip tonic like, test drove one and regretted not trying the trip tonic

is it just like a manual but up and down changes or is it like auto just manually selecting gears like 1,2,3 on an auto antyways.

and whats the reliability of manual conversions on FTOS.

thanks guys

Manual for sure. It just feels better having more control over gear selection and clutch engagement

Manual: better control over gears, slightly more power/ response.
Tip: Better if you're lazy or can't drive manual, better for city driving, can't select gears 'as fast' as a manual.
Both about as reliable as each other, more autos around, avoid 5spd tips.

I got the gearbox and all bits to convert for 400 off djjjones, it was from escapingfates gpvr. That being said will i have trouble putting a gpvr manual gearbox in an auto gpx car? :/

The clutch is the only thing i bought brand new.

Coming from a GPX manual for over 2 years and going to kates GR auto, i actually like taking kates for drives, so much easier and less effort.

Jap sport cars should only be made in manual!

    Auto is for boats...aka commodores.

Get a manual. You always hear of people doing "manual" conversions. Why do you think that is?

    haha :)
